Team Coaching
I offer team coaching programmes to inspire individuals to make changes that have an impact at a personal and systems level. I work with:
- Small Businesses
- Senior Leadership Teams
- Project Teams
Why systemic change matters
Teams, organisations, departments, families and communities all have one thing as common – they operate as a system. The system has an overall purpose or goal and is made up of a number of parts, each of which actively influences the other parts and is also subject to influence from the rest of the system. The team will operate according to certain rules, habits and perceptions of what is real and true.
The interaction of these elements can create a closed system where change is resisted and communication stifles growth, or an open system where the rules are up to date and change and growth welcomed.
A team operating as an open system is in touch with its potential
- Actions represent a persons beliefs and the team beliefs.
- People are responsive and sensitive to one another.
- Change is welcomed and considered normal and desirable.
How team coaching can help
I provide individual and team coaching programmes to help teams to achieve a more open system at times of change. The process starts with 5 key questions:
Do individuals share a common view and commitment to the team purpose?
Is communication between the team purposeful, clear, direct and honest?
How does the team plan for and evaluate effectiveness?
Do team members operate in ways that are flexible and appropriate?
Are individuals and the team in touch with their true potential?

You may already have an idea of the type of event you would like, such as a team away day, 1/2 day workshop or longer coaching programme. Some choices to consider:
- Duration - 1hr, 1/2 day, 1 day, several days, several short events throughout a year.
- Style - Presentation, facilitated workshop, training programme, experiential learning / outdoor challenge, coaching session or programme.
- Venue - depends on the style of event. In general it can be at your site, at a hotel / conference centre local to you or in beautiful The Lake District.
- Theory - where appropriate useful models and depth can be drawn from NLP, Systemic Change, MBTI, Leadership Theories, Emotional Intelligence, Experiential Learning, Positive Psychology, Transactional Analysis, Accelerated Learning, and Models of Change.
- Development Approach - however the programme is structured my style of facilitation ensures that learning will be purposeful, interactive, experiential, fun and thorough.
